The Large team category is open to teams of ten or more employees. Teams of ten or fewer are eligible to enter the small team category.

    Gather Your Supporting Materials

    You may send additional supporting material in any of the following formats - PDF, JPEG, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. You can also send links to websites and videos, which must remain accessible until October 21, 2015.

    Although not mandatory, these elements can significantly strengthen an entry so we recommend that you add them wherever possible. But select what you send carefully. It should be relevant and add value and not just bulk out your entry. Relevant evidence can help judges pick a winner from the shortlist.

Meet the Awards Judges

  • Jean Burke

    Esensia Communications

    Jean is a consultant, researcher and facilitator specializing in communication and change. She held senior in-house communication and marketing roles in organizations such as GE, Hertz and Thomas Cook for 18 years before setting up her own business in 2007.

    Jean is a trained coach and qualified psychotherapist. She has a Masters in Business Studies and an MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy. She is trained in GE WorkOut and the Change Acceleration Process (CAP). She is part of the judging panel for Melcrum’s Strategic Communication Management (SCM) Awards and a Trustee Director for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.

  • Adrian Cropley

    Global Communication & Change Strategist, Executive Coach & Trainer
    Cropley Communications

    Formerly the Head of Internal Communications for a major Telco across Asia Pacific and the 2011/12 Chair of the International Association of Business Communicators. Adrian has over twenty five years experience in the communication profession and heads up Cropley Communication, a global strategic communication consultancy based in Asia Pacific. As one of the globe's IC pioneers, he's an expert in internal communication and change and has worked both in the private and public sectors.

    He's worked with a variety of global clients developing change and internal communication including Unilever, Ernst & Young, Amcor, Shell, Ericsson and Alcatel-Lucent. He's a well respected thought-leader, with articles in a number of publications and is also a guest lecturer to PR & Communication students at several universities.

    He sits on the board of directors for a number of organizations and is a keynote speaker at conferences around the world, including an all star speaker for IABC's world conference held annually. He's won multiple awards for his communication strategies including two Gold Quills and is an accredited business communicator (ABC).

  • Victoria Mellor

    Executive Chairman and Co-founder

    Victoria is Executive Chairman and Co-founder at Melcrum, having launched the organization in 1996 with the mission to elevate the role of internal communication as a critical driver of superior business performance.

    Today Victoria chairs Melcrum's Board of Directors and develops medium to long-term strategy for the company's continuing international expansion. She uses her deep understanding of the profession to advise on the development of new services that improve and refine internal communication practice. Passionate about entrepreneurship and development, she is a graduate of Cranfield School of Management’s Business Growth Programme.

  • Alun Metford

    Global Internal Communications Director

    As Global Internal Communications Director at AstraZeneca – a global, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical business operating in over 100 countries - Alun is responsible for the development of the company’s internal communications strategy and overseeing its execution. In this role Alun also leads the company’s internal communications leadership team and network that spans all business areas and markets in which AstraZeneca operates.

    Alun joined AstraZeneca in 2005 from Littlewoods Shop Direct Group where he held a number of roles across all disciplines of corporate communications, latterly as Head of Group Corporate Communications.

  • Kelly Parsons


    Kelly serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Melcrum, setting themes and making connections to advance our ability to serve our members, strengthen the practice of Internal Communication around the globe, and develop our people.

    Kelly has worked in the communications space for decades, from fundraising for small non-profits to working alongside Fortune 50 CMOs as head of the Marketing Leadership Council. She's continually impressed by the powerful force that is Internal Communication, and believes it is the key to unlocking breakout performance in organizations of all shapes and sizes. Kelly holds a Masters in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business where she was an Omnicom Communications Fellow.
