About the trainer
Michael Pounsford is the managing director of Couravel, which helps its clients develop and deliver communication and change strategies. The company’s clients include HMRC, BAE Systems, Stryker, TNT Express, Threadneedle, VOSA, Thales, Cabinet Office, GKN, Home Office, Lloyds TSB, Barclays, Pfizer and others.
In order to deliver exceptional performance people need to feel engaged at work. Engagement requires direction, clarity about roles and personal buy-in. The Couravel team of 20 associate consultants works with leaders, HR and communication professionals to create understanding, knowledge, recognition and involvement in order to encourage engagement.
Prior to founding Couravel, Michael was the founder of WPP Group’s brand engagement consultancy Banner McBride. He built the business from its conception to offices in New York and London, a team of 60 and an international client base.
Prior roles have included Directorship of the Alexander Consulting Group’s organizational effectiveness practice, six years learning the ropes at Towers Perrin in its London communication and human resource management practices, and working for the London Business School’s Centre for Management Development.
Michael has an MBA from London Business School.
