About the trainer

 

Mike Poundsford

Michael Pounsford is the managing director of Couravel, which helps its clients develop and deliver communication and change strategies.  The company’s clients include HMRC, BAE Systems, Stryker, TNT Express, Threadneedle, VOSA, Thales, Cabinet Office, GKN, Home Office, Lloyds TSB, Barclays, Pfizer and others.

Michael works with Leadership and with specialists in Communication, HR, Marketing and Organisation Development to help deliver change through their people so that they can increase revenue, customer service or productivity.

In order to deliver exceptional performance people need to feel engaged at work.  Engagement requires direction, clarity about roles and personal buy-in.  Michael works to create understanding, knowledge, recognition and involvement in order to encourage engagement.  He supports his clients by agreeing common focus, measuring current levels of understanding and engagement and developing any required communication skills or tools to improve this. 

Prior to founding Couravel, Michael founded and led WPP Group’s brand engagement consultancy Banner McBride.
