Sue Dewhurst

Sue Dewhurst - Lead Trainer

Before setting up her consultancy business four years ago, Sue spent thirteen years leading in-house teams at Royal Mail, Barclays Bank and NTL (now Virgin Media).

She specializes in professional development for internal communicators, and communications-related training and coaching for leaders and line managers. She co-developed and co-leads Melcrum's highly successful Internal Communications Black Belt Program in Europe.

Sue also acts as Associate Director for Melcrum's Strategic Communication Research Forum, where she shapes and comments on research into the most pressing internal communications challenges facing organizations today.

She has a BA (hons) in Communication Studies, a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations, and is a trained co-active coach and a licensed careers coach. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and a special advisor to its internal communications group, CIPR Inside.

Sally Hinder

Sally Hinder - UK

Sally is a coach, trainer, facilitator and communications specialist. Her passion is in helping individuals and organizations achieve better results and work to their full potential, by focusing on the effectiveness and impact of their communication. Sally is a qualified coach and holds the Postgraduate Diploma in Internal Communication Management.

Sally has 12 years' experience in financial services working for Fidelity Investments and Brit Insurance and now has her own business. Her experience spans various disciplines including customer services, internal communications, corporate social responsibility, public relations, training, facilitation and coaching.

Victoria Mellor

Victoria Mellor - UK

Victoria is one of the founders of Melcrum and is now its CEO. Since starting the company in 1996 with the title Strategic Communication Management, her mission to produce great research and training that helps communicators add more value to their organizations hasn't changed.

As well as helping to develop the Internal Communication Black Belt Program internationally, she's also been on the team designing Melcrum's Framework for an Effective Communication Function - an approach quickly being adopted by many global organizations.

She leads Melcrum's Strategic Communication Research Forum, a membership group of senior internal communicators from leading global organizations and regularly speaks to communication teams about the importance of effective communication. Recent clients include: Vodafone, LloydsTSB, RSA, Orange, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Sky, HMRC, RBS, Shell, BP and Unilever.

Julie Baron

Julie Baron - US/Canada

Julie Baron has 20 years of experience working as a communications strategist making a difference within organizations, as well as within communities. Her functional expertise includes employee communications, global communications and public relations. She has a track record of positively impacting financial and operating results with clients such as Abbott, HUB International, National Association of Realtors, Revell and Pepsi Americas, and as a senior in-house communicator for NEC Technologies and Motorola. Julie has published and lectured on topics such as CEO communication, culture development, global communication and internal marketing. An active member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Julie has held many volunteer leadership positions including president of the IABC/Chicago chapter.

Geri Rhoades

Geri Rhoades - US/Canada

Geri Rhoades, MBA, has been a leader in the communications industry for over 25 years. She has held numerous positions on both the corporate and consulting sides of the business and has built several communication organizations - including one of the first corporate change management departments in the country. In addition, Geri has certifications in executive coaching, reengineering and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. She is on the board of directors for the Council of Communication Management and is the founder of Boston Aids Africa, and author of The Warrior and the Little Girl: Create Power and Joy in your Worklife.

Adrian Cropley

Adrian Cropley - Australia/New Zealand

Formerly the Head of Internal Communications for major Telco in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands & Director on the  International Executive Board of the IABC; Adrian is a change communication expert and internal communication strategist running his  own consultancy, Cropley Communication. He has over 20 years experience in the communication field in both the private and public sectors. He has worked with a variety of Global clients developing change and employee communication strategies for companies like, Ernst & Young, Amcor, ANZ, NAB & Shell. He is a well respected thought leader, with articles in a number of publications and guest lecturing to PR & Communication students, he is  a key note speaker at conferences around the globe and has won a number of awards for his communication strategies.

Melissa Dark

Melissa Dark - Australia/New Zealand

Melissa has 17 years experience in organizational communication, ranging from public relations ad media relations through to change management and organisation development. Melissa has a BA in Management Communication and a Masters in Communication and she is a former president of the IABC Victorian Chapter and is heavily involved in the IABC's Gold Quill awards program.
