Engaging from the top: How to get buy-in from business leaders to drive engagement

Image of Liam FitzPatrick

Engaged people work for organisations that make them want to deliver higher levels of revenue, productivity and customer service. This workshop looks at what engagement is, how it can be measured and how it is linked to performance. In particular, the workshop will examine how leaders can shape their businesses to create an environment that generates engagement.
The workshop will look at critical leadership communication behaviours, and the tools and resources that can be used to encourage and shape them. It will be an interactive session using case studies and participants’ experience – an opportunity for generating ideas, developing networks and learning.
This workshop will provide practical tools and techniques as well as more strategic frameworks to help develop a business-focused plan for measuring, monitoring and improving employee engagement across your organisation.

Join us and find out how to:

  • Define, recognise and drive engagement
  • Work with leaders to develop engagement strategies
  • Assess and deploy different engagement methodologies, tools and techniques
  • Measure the results and link them to performance

Engaging a dispersed workforce: Communicating with hard-to-reach employees

Picture of Sue Dewhurst

Some people are more challenging to communicate with than others. They might work in factories, be based at home, or spend their working life in their car, driving a truck or flying a plane. Perhaps they have little or no access to technology and have almost no opportunity to meet up face to face with their colleagues and line manager. In this type of environment, finding even the smallest window for communication can be a challenge.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how other organisations are facing up to the challenge of engaging hard-to-reach employees and leave with solid tips and advice about how to communicate more effectively in this type of environment. Drawing on new Melcrum research, the workshop will cover:

  • The 10 golden rules for communicating with hard-to-reach employees
  • Supporting leaders to communicate with remote workers
  • Successful case studies from other organisations
  • Spotting opportunities to use technology successfully
