Key Account Manager EMEA (combined sales & service)

REPORTING TO: Sales Leadership & MD, EMEA

SALARY: £ to attract the best, plus performance related bonus, company pension

LOCATION: London, UK

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, global team as we enter a new phase of our growth. International travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving your individual revenue goals through new business sales and renewal of, and cross-selling into, existing accounts – across Melcrum’s full product suite of research membership, training, conferences, and group membership streams within the EMEA region
  • Generating C-Suite leads through professional networking and cold-call techniques
  • Prospecting and building new business in a regional territory
  • Understanding evolving business terrains and effectively articulating the value proposition to prospective members
  • Partnering with fellow Key Account Managers and others focused on member service across regions to jointly develop tactics for member engagement and service resolution where member concerns arise
  • Build relationships with members/prospects through demonstration of knowledge of the internal communications terrain, and understanding of specific company values and priorities
  • Educate members on the benefits of Melcrum’s value proposition and products to sustain long-term relationships
  • Create customized account plans for member/prospect institutions, outlining service delivery and revenue growth strategies

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of sales and account management experience, ideally in a similar industry
  • Bachelors Degree

Successful candidates may possess:

  • Demonstrated successful experience in Executive level (consultative) sales and negotiation skills
  • Personal drive, ambition, integrity and performance
  • Exposure selling an “intellectual” service to the C-suite
  • Solid understanding of business concepts & dynamics for large national and international corporations
  • Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrated history of meeting personal monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals
  • Ability to build relationships and work well across functions and regions as part of a global team
  • Ability to quickly build credibility with an executive level audience
  • Superior time management and organization skills
