Event Sales Executive

Melcrum is one of the most innovative events and publishing companies worldwide. With offices in Washington DC, London and Sydney, we have customers around the globe who rely on us for corporate communication information.

Our US-based events have been one of the key elements of our success – and we need an ambitious, dynamic, and driven sales individual to drive delegate sales and event sponsorships from our Washington DC office.

You will be energetic and possess the ability to think (and learn) on your feet and be able to work independently as well as within a team environment.

You will be comfortable dealing with and pitching to professionals working in major companies, such as HSBC, Avery Dennison, McDonalds and the like. You will take the reins of our sponsorship portfolio to increase sponsor-generated revenue at our events.

Responsibilities

  • Follow-up on leads generated by our marketing efforts and through your own networking (online and in-person)
  • Prospect new sponsorship opportunities and renew existing sponsorship accounts
  • Attend each event to meet delegates and look for future opportunities (some travel will be required, about 2-3 times a year)
  • Update the database with your sales activities
  • Meet company quarterly targets as it pertains to delegate sales

Requirements

  • Strong time management, prioritization skills, and disciplined work ethic
  • Excellent verbal, written communication
  • Proven track-record of succeeding in a target-driven environment
  • Experience working with an international company is a plus

Competitive compensation – base salary + commission + bonus
