Top names come together to unravel SharePoint in the context of internal communication

LONDON, January 10th, 2010

Leading internal communication experts, Melcrum, will be holding a User Forum: SharePoint for internal communicators in London, on 8th February 2011.

This forum will provide a dedicated setting for communicators using SharePoint. Featuring on the day will be heavyweight case study presentations from companies including BT, Aviva, Standard Chartered Bank, BBC and Siemens. Following each session will be a facilitated "Share & Learn" interactive session to allow for exploration and benchmarking amoungst internal communication practitioners and field experts around the recurring key themes of collaboration, adoption, governance and global integration.

Whilst most SharePoint courses and books tend to have a strong bias towards technology and administration – this niche event aims to unravel the enigma of SharePoint in the context of internal communication. Through case studies, benchmarking, debates, problem-solving and thought leader panel discussions, the day will demonstrate that when equipped with the right knowledge - SharePoint can be used by communicators to enhance performance, meet and surpass business goals.

Sam Marshall, Director of ClearBox Consulting will facilitate on the day and lead all interactive "Share & Learn" sessions. Marshall is a specialist in Intranets and Knowledge Management and holds over 14 years experience working with brands including Unilever, BT, BUPA and Standard Life.

There will also be two practical post-forum workshops on 9th February: ‘Effective Governance”, led by Lise Munk Thygesen, Intranet Manager - Internal Communication, Maersk Line and ‘The Virtual "Watercooler": Engaging with the fully networked digital employee’ led by Lee Bryant, Co-founder, Headshift.

Cost to attend the Forum for Melcrum members is £1,165 for Forum and Workshops (Non-members £1,295) or £625 for Forum only (£695 for non-members). Further information at http://www.melcrum.com/spuserforum/.
