Melcrum to present "The future of internal communication" to European audiences on 10 and 11 May, 2011

London, April 2011

“…anticipating the future helps us to plan for the changing expectations of employers and employees and the implications of change on the working world and wider society.”
The Work Foundation

The idea of trying to predict the future for internal communication is a daunting one – and probably impossible. However, by understanding the broader business and social landscape across the next three to five years, Melcrum has identified the likely implications for internal communication and proposed solutions to the issues identified.

Over the last six months, Melcrum researchers have studied reports from diverse business research and consulting companies and spoken to their representatives and leaders. They’ve spent time interviewing behavioural psychologists, sociologists, futurologists, business analysts, senior business leaders and communication experts. Melcrum content has also been utilised in the form of case studies, articles and interviews that help paint a picture of what’s coming down the pipeline for global business, and therefore what will have an impact on the internal communication function.

On 10 May in Amsterdam and 11 May in Paris, Melcrum’s research director, Rebecca Richmond, will give an overview of the four key trends that Melcrum believes will shape the global business landscape for the next three to five years.

Over the course of the morning, attendees will explore the driving factors behind each one of these trends and drill deeper into the implications for the internal communication function specifically. The morning will conclude with recommendations and advice for how internal communication practitioners can respond.

Attendance is by invitation only. Email research@melcrum.com for details.
