Mark your diary - the SCM Summit's back!
|
In a summer that's being dominated by World Cup football and now tennis at Wimbledon, it's hard to think too much further ahead and certainly not as far as the autumn months.
But the fast-paced world of internal communication waits for no one and we're currently putting the final touches to the program for our 9th Annual Strategic Communication Management Summit that's taking place in London from 11th - 13th October 2010.
Among a fantastic line-up of speakers and workshop leaders, one of the highlights will be the session led by Jo Alexander, head of group internal communication at HSBC. Alexander will share how the organization developed a pilot program to help prepare managers to facilitate and lead dialogue.
If you're interested in finding out more about what internal communication looks like within HSBC, take a look at this article on the Internal Comms Hub, which details a research project spearheaded by the bank to find out how internal comms departments work in different global organizations. The results sparked a lot of debate, read the article to see if you agree or disagree with the findings.
Until next time,

P.S. Other organizations who will be sharing best-practice case studies at the Summit include PricewaterhouseCoopers, Volvo Group, Oxfam and Merseytravel. Let us know if you're interested and we'll send you the brochure.
