How GE Real Estate trains managers to communicate better

Kelly
October 20th, 2009 By Kelly Dyer, Editor

We frequently hear from internal communicators that getting managers to communicate well is one of their biggest challenges.

Want to know how GE Real Estate managers are supported in their efforts to interpret company messages and make them resonate with employees?

In an article on the Internal Comms Hub, Susan Dorflinger, director of worldwide employee marketing, explains how they created training workshops to equip managers with the skills they need to communicate successfully.

"Managers say that after attending the communication workshop, they're better able to connect employees to the business vision," says Dorflinger. "They also understand how communication is essential in their effectiveness as leaders and in delivering business results."

Read on to see the tools and templates that were created for these workshops at GE.

Until next time,

Kelly Dyer

P.S. The upcoming UK member event in Birmingham on November 12th will focus on achieving effective leadership communication. Why not join and come along? Hear from leading practitioners and network with your peers - reserve your place today!
