When an employee survey at courier and delivery organization TNT revealed a need for more transparent communication and decision-making, the CEO Peter Bakker was keen to find ways to close the gap. Job van Harmelen, senior communications manager at TNT and a speaker at Melcrum's Intranet 2.0 Forum in London this June, explains in a recent SCM article how a virtual CEO office on the group intranet helped the CEO do his bit. Named "In Touch with Peter", the virtual office quickly became one of the most popular sections on the site.
