Upping sales and preventing salary cuts at Everest

December 9th, 2009 By Kelly Dyer, Editor
kelly.dyer@melcrum.com

As far as tough messages go, it must be one of the toughest. When a company needs to make savings and has to win internal backing for companywide employee salary cuts, who wants to hear that?

At one of the UK's most well-known home improvement companies, Everest, this scenario was avoided by increasing engagement and upping sales rates as a result.

In this case study recently published on the Internal Comms Hub, discover how a new employee engagement program achieved just that and at the same time improved manager and leader visability, and developed trusted dialogue between functions.

It's just one example of how the recession has presented an opportunity for the internal communication function to demonstrate its value and benefit the whole organization.

Until next time,

Kelly Dyer
