Devoted as we are to the professional development of internal communicators, we spend a lot of time trying to figure out what tasks people are struggling with and where the gaps are in terms of skills and knowledge. So ahead of launching a new series of skills courses, we asked communicators about their training needs in 2008. Unsurprisingly, evergreen topics like "improving manager comms" and "communicating a comms audit" were still high on the list. But they're now joined by a range of social media-related activities too like "managing your intranet and social media" and "corporate podcasting".
